I’m back with my month’s favourites again, this time, I’ve done a little travelling so not all of the things on my list are English.
First up, movie of the month, Bugsy Malone. This has always had a special place in my heart, I even went to see the play my secondary school did for the film. The acting, the accents and the plot is just something that manages to catch my attention throughout.
I have read a book again this month as well, an all-time favourite of mine, Beautiful Disaster. The first book of two, the second being “Walking Disaster” I can relate to the storyline all too well and even after the second time reading it, Jamie McGuire still manages to get every emotion inside of me to the surface.
My favourite item of clothing this month has to be my thin floral jacket that I shared with you all in my holiday haul, I’ve managed to get a lot of wear out of it the past three weeks considering it’s still surprisingly cold of a night time no matter where in the world I am.
Of course, a favourites list wouldn’t be a favourite’s list if I didn’t include an item of food or drink, this week I have both. Now, some of you are going to grimace at my favourite food of the week, especially if you’re not one for sea food but I have to say, my taste buds have been craving mussels for a majority of July and I regret nothing after ordering the sea grill in one of the restaurants in Fuerteventura. The best drinks I’ve tasted this month match up to each other and I couldn’t decide between the two so number one is Jim Beam and passion fruit J20. I don’t think you can order this drink anywhere. I’m the kind of person who tends to mix vodka or Jim Beam with anything I can get my hands on and J20 was there at the time. The second drink of the month is a Pina Colada. This fruity drink was great on the hot island, not too sweet either which surprised me considering it’s pineapple and coconut.
Once again, I can’t make a favourites list on a (somewhat) beauty blog without an item of make up so I have picked out a favourite product of the week, courtesy of my boyfriend, and it is my Clinique mascara. It’s not pulling out my lashes, it’s great for a base coat because I use three different mascaras and it’s easy to remove but not easy to smudge which personally, is all I look for in a mascara.
Last but not least, my favourite song of the week has to be Power trip by J Cole. The first time I heard of J Cole was due to Step Up 3, the second was when Ryan’s obsession for him came to light in year 11, the third was just after Christmas when I joined Ryan in his adoration for the rapper (though my interest in him is nowhere near the stage of infatuation my boyfriend has reached) and since going abroad, Power trip is the most played song in my music library.
There’ll be another favourites list at the end of August and every month onwards, share in the comments down below what your favourites were this month.
